Check out the clip of his semi final winning performance. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rDB9zwlXrB8 Comments about the performance only please. All others will be removed and blocked. Aerosmith's "I don't want to miss a thing" is also featured in the clip, for those that keep asking! For all those that seem to think Paul is a pro in disguise, please realise the following. - Bath Opera is an amateur opera company staging a small number of productions a few times each year. - Paul has performed in just 4 four productions with this company - Paul has attended some masterclasses in Italy. These courses are designed for talented amateurs. All of these are paid for by those attending. - A few masterclasses, even one with the great man do not constitute "a formal opera training" by any stretch of the imagination. - Professional opera singers earn their living by treading the boards night after night week-in week-out, year after year with professional opera companies. - Paul, has never earned a single penny from opera performance, other than winning a tv talent show in 1999 - the winnings funding masterclasses. - Paul has not performed since 2003. - He is not a professional opera singer pretending to be a mobile phone sales man, but rather he is a mobile phone salesman aspiring to be an opera singer. - An operatic voice IS a trained voice. Hmmmm, perhaps if I can buy a few classes at a pro cookery school, I can pass myself off as a highly experienced pro chef.....hmmmmm......

radiant, you are right. They will NOT allow any photography or recording of any kind during the concert. They will take your device, but leave you there. :))

Meeting Paul is worth the effort, and you have special credentials being a prize winner. Perhaps calling his Sony/BMG team people might bring forth fruit.

I love this video. The look on the faces of the panel are wonderful when Paul starts singing. As they said, not what they expected. I have already ordered his first album; to me he has the most beautiful voice. I went back and listened to Pavoriti and like Paul's voice better. I'm not sure if I'm a new opera fan but I'm definitely a Paul Potts fan. I wish him a wonderful successful career and hope that things don't move too fast for him and spoil his style.

Ok...someone has to know this. In the semifinal video there is an "older" couple holding a sign that says something like "Paul Potts Superstar." They show up in other videos also. Are these Paul's parents? They rather look like him, and they seem appropriately excited and devoted. I've never heard them mentioned, though. Anyone with knowledge?

I am loving One Chance. Listen to it at work, at home. Have given the CD as gifts (with an intro to YouTube for "the story" of our amazing guy). One by one, the family grows.

Not much of an opera fan but I could watch it a thousand times and still come back. Were the judges turning blue? Looked like they weren't breathing. He has a desire and it shows. I hope he does well. I guess some fairy tales do come true.

This clip cannot be seen enough enough . its his change from a nobody to a world star. Paul is humble and grateful too for his chance, a thing a lot of so called stars and celebrities of today could learn from.
