Michelle5451 ::: Favorites I'd keep it until at least Monday, just to be sure. I always needed to know with 100% certainty I wasn't throwing out a live baby, and although logic told me an egg a week overdue to hatch wasn't a good egg, I always cracked them open to set my mind at rest. Sometimes I'd find liquid goop (bad egg) or a chick that didn't make it. Thinking about such a sight sounds disturbing and I cringed the first time, but it's really not that bad, it looks asleep. 07-08-09 22:37:22 _____________________________________________________

Michelle5451 ::: Favorites Because an albino bird, animal, human is the result of being born with melanin (where pigmentation comes from) so I guess I'm thinking it would be had to have that happen in more than one in a hen's lifetime of having chicks, let alone two from the same clutch. The youngest one is still really small and fragile, so I think I'll wait until it's a bit larger before I take them all out to clean it.
