And they died for their "lie" of performing witchcraft...BTW, I didn't know that the Roman Catholic Church had that much influence in Massachusetts.

The census was done by Herod, and was a local census. They didn't require anyone to go to any other places other than when they lived at that point.

Witches were usually the true to the bible Christians, persecuted by the roman catholic church during and after the reformation if I'm not mistaken. I'll post an interesting link in a minute.

I have a video coming up on that...what makes you think they had a choice in that? Why were the "witches" persecuted, imprisoned, and tortured over their "lie"?

They didn't have the internet, printing press, radio, television or youtube so the fastest way to tell the world was actually going town to town telling the world. That might take 40 yrs- they didn't have cars either. The more important question is, why be persecuted, imprisoned and tortured to support a lie?

If you were close friends with the son of god who changed your entire life, why would you wait 40+ years to tell the world about it?

That's very common...mine took even longer! If you like, send the story (if you have time) to me in a PM.

It is very hard, because Islam punishes converts to other religions (let alone atheism) by death, something most Muslims are ashamed to discuss. My deconversion, was long and went over a period of 5 years. There wasn't anything sudden. But last time I remember standing for creationism in a debate was 5 years ago...

welcome to rationality, my friend. I'd love to hear your story on how you deconverted. If you like, you can send it to me and I'll record it for others to hear. I have quite the collection of them...but not many Muslims.

I was a fundamental Muslim, born and raised in an Islamic community. Now I am a full fledged atheist leaning to become an anti-theist. I totally get where you are coming from.
