I was raised Episcopalian, and though I am no longer "religious", as I don't follow any one religion, I still value spirituality.(Honoring the Divine in ALL life, all people, etc.) I think Father Matthew sets a wonderful example: We don't have to agree with one another to be RESPECTFUL and tolerant of others.

You never know where dialogue will lead. If you already know the end point, then you aren't really in dialogue!

Prayer isn't a magic spell, to begin with. Some people think that way though, which complicates things. In very short terms, prayer is responding to God, by thought and by deeds, with or without words.

We can sit at the same table and talk, but it will end the same way. We'll talk about things that are verifiable, and you will talk about things that must be taken on faith.
