No one is laughing at you. You're part of the world, so go out there and enjoy life.

I am VERY familiar with social phobia nd anxiety. I had struggled with them for years. Three books changed my life. Your 'Erroneous Zones' by Dt. Wayne Dyer, 'Feeling Good' by Dr. David Burns and 'From Panic to Power' by Lucinda Bassett.

It takes some time and self help work to over come these conditions, but it's worth every minute of it! TRUST ME!

Saying that to people who suffer from anxiety and social phobia is like saying to a cat: Just go in the water, you'll love it! These are real conditions and if they are not treated, can really be detrimental to people's lives.

I have OCD and depression and know alot of what you're going through. I know what it's like to feel you're invisible. It says I'm from Spain on here to remain anonymous, I'm from England in fact. If you need to chat to someone your age who knows what you're going through then you're more than welcome.

It all has to do with confidence. With low self confidence, you feel that you don't fit in with any crowd and that everyone thinks strangely of you when they see you. Build your confidence. It takes small steps, and wont happen the next day, so try small things, like set goals and complete them. Also try speaking on the phone with friends, then move to face to face talks with them in a surrounding you're comfortable in like your house.

I know the feeling of hating going to work and feeling like they're talking about you behind your back! I sure wish there were something I could say that would make a difference, but in 31 years I haven't found the antidote. No matter what you might think of yourself, I think you're really pretty =)

I am 54 and have had severe social phobia/anxiety since age 19.I just downloaded a whole set of tapes that claim if you listen to them you can cure yourself....Cognative therapy I guess you call it. The doctor on the tapes claims he had social phobia and was cured. I take medication to help me.Celexa for depression and Buspirone and Beta blockers for the nerves....they helped wih my shakiness. Social Phobia is the biggest health problem on the face of the earth..so we are not alone

It's ok you haven't offended me :) I just felt a little ignored when I was trying to be nice that's all. I'm only a year older than you and have alot of the same kind of problems. I just thought it would be nice to talk, at least knowing someone else feels the same is some comfort. Do you use Facebook or anything then? Take care

I do have Bebo but I have no info on it as I rarely use it. It's up to you if you wish to speak, I don't want to make you feel uncomfortable. I use Myspace/Facebook/Emails but if you don't want to bother then let me know.
