if they didn't find any swearing to argue with they'd just find some other trivial argument to use.

To me swearing in an informal environment is good (as long as there is no fucking swearing in every fucking sentence. If it's done in every sentence he is trying to posture to look hard, or intimidating, it is simple as that. I mean, you only need to hook one pigs carcass once), it is a hook so people can see your fucking point. Those that don't like you swearing in informal environments don't want you to have a hook. Why do they not want you to hook? That is what I ask myself.

As an atheist I often wonder if the best approach we can take to organised religion is ignoring it. They thrive for fallacious debate with scientists. Offering no facts of their own while desperately seeking holes in real ones. This gives them ATTENTION. Simply forget them. Refuse to debate their fairy tales. Snub them into oblivion and they'll be forgotten like Jade Goody and that guy off Rainbow. They want a mock debate. Don't feed them.

"I`m gonna fucking kill you" isn`t an argument... If you cannot chill out and give your point without saying things "you know" will offend those you are trying to convince then yes, it will take away from your argument, in so much that you are trying to convince others to listen to you. One being credible is just as important as ones` argument being credible, every non-philosopher will tell you that.

It is OK to swear in informal environments amongst friends if you are getting your point across. However if you swear for the sake of swearing to posture and look hard your friends are going to think you are a cunt and disown you. Now if you swear like a trooper in a formal environment the people you will swear to will secretly think, 'who does this cunt think he is I'm going to crush him with my fucking laws. The posturing cunt.' Thus swearing is bad in a formal environment. Stop being a cunt
