Description: Russell Shoemaker travels from Seattle to New York City. He wakes to find no sign of human life. It rains for fourteen days. Anything that was using electrical energy is dead. Other animals/species seem to be unaffected. There are at least one hundred survivors in New York City. The flood water is full of disease. Simple DC (battery powered) devices such as flashlights still work. An All Units Warning was issued by Homeland Security ~fifteen minutes before "The Fall." Officer Delondre discovered a small burning hot piece on the ground. The population is down to less than one percent. An EMP (Electromagnetic Pulse) similar to the kind generated by an atomic bomb was responsible for the death of technology. A document is discovered potentially linking "The Fall" to terrorist activity. |

In New York which had over 8 million, that would have been reduced to 8 thousand.
