For further information, consult: "zeno's paradoxes: a timely solution" by typing it in on google! What a great read, I just wanted to share the knowledge. Maybe inspire some readers. :) __________________________________________________
DoctorFist ::: Favorites 2007-07-06 22:16:18 That is, if you think you are travelling 85 km/h on a road or weigh 150 pounds, you must understand that these values are only applicable to an object that passes through a very small interval of time - now matter now accurate your measurement device is. In short - nothing stops. It can't...or motion is implausible __________________________________________________
DoctorFist ::: Favorites 2007-07-06 22:13:41 Stick with phsyics, it gets much better later on. Like when you explore the concept of time, and Zeno's Paradox. The idea of time having discrete values (instantaneous, if you will) implies that motion is impossible because matter would have to be frozen at every instant in time - motion is not a property that can be "unfrozen" however! Thus EVERYTHING is measured in time intervals, infinitesimally small though __________________________________________________ |
